The purpose of the investment is to ensure greater traffic safety for pedestrians and cyclists, reduce the negative impacts of motor traffic on the environment, promote sustainable mobility and the use of bicycles for everyday tasks as an alternative to car transport. Additional effects of the investment are enabling the development of recreational activities of people and thus a positive impact on their health. The objective of the investment is the arrangement of a bus stop at the intersection of Seidlova cesta and Koštialova ulica and the reconstruction of the local road LG-299272 (Seidlova cesta) with the arrangement of surfaces for cyclists and pedestrians on the section from Križišče with Cankarjeva ulica towards Ločna from km approx. 2,755 to km 3,325 in the length of 570 m. The implementation of the project will contribute to the achievement of impact and result indicators under the European Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027 in Slovenia, priority 4 "Sustainable mobility", specific objective RSO2.8 "Promoting sustainable multimodal urban mobility in the context of the transition to a net-zero carbon economy".
