The project addresses the problem of lack of capacity and coordination for intervention engineering actions in the event of earthquakes and other crisis situations in Croatia. The purpose is to contribute to disaster risk reduction and strengthen the civil protection system of the Republic of Croatia. Activities include establishing and equipping HCPI-IS headquarters and regional bodies for performing engineering activities, and training all project participants for emergency response. In addition, training of internal resources and other civil protection stakeholders will be carried out, as well as informing citizens about the engineering activities of the HCPI-IS. The target groups are engineers, emergency services and citizens.
