Purpose of the project "Reconstruction and upgrading of the Gat Sv. Petra in the City Port of Split" is aimed at increasing manipulative space and reducing traffic congestion of vehicles and vessels. The expansion of the pier by about 53 meters will enable 5.350 m2 of new area, the construction of two new ones and the extension and extension of three existing ro-ro (ferry) ramps, which will improve the capacity for the reception of larger vessels and ferry traffic. Reducing congestion and reducing the boarding time of passengers and vehicles are the main objectives, and the project also contributes to reducing CO2 emissions and noise in the city of Split. Modernization activities will directly increase the availability of scheduled coastal traffic for island residents and other users, including tourists and businessmen.
