The aim of the project is to develop an innovative line for melting and sterilizing bee honeycombs by implementing a research and development project and investing in the technological infrastructure of Apital and its partners. This line will increase processing efficiency, reduce energy costs and ensure a high level of wax health safety. The project primarily targets beekeepers, beekeeping cooperatives and producers of beekeeping equipment. The wider beekeeping community and final consumers of bee products will also benefit through improved quality and safety of honey and other bee products. The project contributes to the sustainability of beekeeping, strengthens local food brands and supports the economic development of the region (new jobs and local initiatives).
