Research and development of microencapsulated pollen for modulation of small intestine microbiota Intestinal disorders, such as excessive bacterial overgrowth syndrome in the small intestine and irritable bowel syndrome, represent an increasing health and financial burden on a global scale. Starting from a significant societal challenge and lack of effective solutions, the project explores and develops microencapsulation of punch pollen and microencapsulated pollen as an innovative dietary supplement intended for modulation of the small intestine microbiota. The aim is for SPIN consortium members to contribute to the industrial transition of Adriatic Croatia through research and development of higher value-added products and services, prevention and alleviation of symptoms of these disorders and their adverse consequences at the social level.share on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
