The RASCO LYNX STREET and LYNX SNOW project aims to explore and develop 2 radical innovations whose application will allow the complete replacement of all compact utility vehicles available today with technologically, cost-effective and environmentally superior alternatives. Research at the level of battery, powertrain and controller, construction and materials, and optimisation of work processes will address the key shortcoming of today’s electric vehicles – the low range, thus enabling the full benefits of electric propulsion to be harnessed in maintaining public spaces. This will be achieved through intensive collaborative research and then development and demonstration in an operational environment. Target groups include SPIN consortium members, researchers and utilities.
