The project will improve the conditions of accommodation and operation of the operational civil protection forces in the area of the City of Cres with the aim of increasing the level of safety and protection of persons and property of the island community. With the construction of the new firehouse, project partners and the local community will also have new premises for holding meetings and lectures for larger groups of people. The new facility will have sufficient capacity to accommodate all equipment currently used by civil protection, which will enable its better storage and maintenance, and thus extend its useful life. Better housing conditions for troops on standby for possible operational action on the ground will allow to increase their reaction speed and efficiency.
