The aim of this project is to equip the Brussels region with a unique system (in Belgium and exceptional on the international scene) of portable magnetoencephalography (MEG) based on a new technology of magnetic field sensors called optically pumped magnetometers (MPO). It will be the basis, through innovative translational research projects, of future high-performance diagnostic procedures adapted to each subject/patient with brain disorders such as epilepsy or Alzheimer's disease. This new system will allow a major qualitative leap in the field of human neuroscience in Brussels and Belgium.
