The district is district heating network will serve the islands developed in part east of the site Mediapark.brussels. These islands named "F" and "G". Ilot F: The draft Master Plan (PAD Mediapark) provides for a maximum floor area (SDP*) of 19 000 m2 for island F. The RBC wishes to develop social housing there, and the municipality of Schaerbeek wishes to develop a Dutch-speaking secondary school and a French-speaking secondary school branch there. These two projects will be developed independently, but possible pooling can be envisaged. The breakdown of areas established is as follows: 7,000 m2 for schools and 12,000 m2 for public housing. Ilot G: The draft Master Development Plan (PAD Mediapark) provides for a maximum floor area (SDP*) of 23 000 m2 for Lot G. The Region wishes to build public housing (Citydev.brussels), productive activities in the media sector and shops. This island will also host the technical spaces for the heat network of the eastern part of Mediapark. The planned heat network includes 698 metres (0.7 kM) of heat transport pipes.
