The project ‘Heart for softening. Green-blue climate streets in the Kempen’ tackles the problems of drought, heat and flooding in a coordinated manner by realising green-blue municipal roads. The Province of Antwerp coordinates the process and the grant application. In addition, she monitors the climate adaptation reflex throughout the project and ensures the dissemination of the lessons learned through the development of a set of climate street profiles, the softening balance tool, a corresponding publication and training trajectories. The co-promoters (Turnhout and Oud-Turnhout) are responsible for the implementation of the demonstration projects.
