Vesalius Next

Vesalius Next is part of the creation of the new interdisciplinary initiative in the center of Leuven, called Vesalius. Vesalius' mission is unambiguous: Informing in a unique way about science, care and society. It is distinguished by its modular approach, where each module focuses on a specific target group. On the one hand, there is the Vesalius Museum, which will enthuse and allow a wide audience to reflect on disease and health, science and innovation, and the associated social issues. Then there is Vesalius Next. This platform is specifically designed to inspire and engage enterprises, professionals and patients in innovation and co-creation. Vesalius Next stimulates innovation and collaboration, with the aim of developing groundbreaking solutions and applications that contribute to the future of healthcare. In addition, Vesalius Next will also interact with patients and consumers in the context of co-creation, in which we respond to their questions and needs. Vesalius Next, located on the lower floor of Vesalius, acts as a platform where technological innovations are not only shown, but can also be experienced. The spaces consist of an inspiring demonstration and experience space and an innovation and co-creation space. These facilities are intended to inform and involve companies and healthcare organizations about the latest technological innovations, with a state-of-the-art auditorium, immersive spaces, a demonstration room and various workshop spaces. The added value of Vesalius Next lies in bringing together state-of-the-art technologies and expert knowledge within a dynamic, modular and interactive framework. All content is offered experientially, such as with virtual reality, augmented reality and other digital applications. This modular, virtual set-up offers several advantages: The rooms can be adapted to various needs, from medical simulations to workshops and brainstorming sessions. This makes it possible to facilitate a wide range of activities aimed at stimulating innovation and improving the quality of care. The modular design of Vesalius Next ensures a dynamic adaptability to various themes within healthcare. In the initial phase, the focus is on current issues and challenges within healthcare, namely AI, sustainability and health technologies. After the opening we keep our finger on the pulse; We develop new content as a response to the ever-changing healthcare landscape. This flexibility is central to Vesalius Next's ability to respond quickly to developments and trends, keeping the platform relevant. Scalability: By focusing on digital content, we can easily scale (inter)nationally and implement elements of Vesalius Next in other locations. Vesalius Next will not only improve the quality of care, but also contribute to responsible entrepreneurship by stimulating collaboration and innovation. It contributes to an ecosystem in which knowledge and technology go hand in hand with human expertise, turning today's challenges into tomorrow's health solutions.
