The project "Creation of a Supportive Network of Independent Living Services in the Community for Persons with Disabilities" concerns the second phase of the project of the previous programming period 2014-2020 "Creation of Houses / Supported Living Programs". The aim of the project is to create an integrated supportive network of independent living services in the community, aimed at people with severe disabilities, and especially people with intellectual disabilities and / or autism. The project includes the creation of new housing and support programs for independent living that will enhance the ability of people with disabilities to live autonomously and equally in the community. In addition, it aims to improve the quality of life of the occupants, through the provision of personalized support and the enhancement of their autonomy skills. This facilitates their further social inclusion and active participation in the wider social and economic environment. Housing and independent living support programmes aim to empower people with disabilities to have control over their own lifestyles and to have appropriate support at the highest possible level to achieve independent living and exercise freedom of choice in decisions that affect their lives. Support for living serves the primary right to independent living of each person and aims at developing and maintaining to the maximum extent their skills and abilities, so that they live as autonomously and actively as possible in the natural environment of society and in a place other than their workplace, while at the same time aiming to avoid "marginalization", social exclusion or "institutionalization". The aim of the operation of the houses/programmes will be to ensure the integration of the person with disabilities into the community and the wider community, providing him with all the physical support he needs to live integrated in the community, on an equal basis with others and in continuity with his choices and preferences for his way of living. Also the development of personalized programs of independent living and provision of care, support, education, rehabilitation, escorting, creative employment, entertainment, communication and other social integration services.
