The main purpose of the project is to provide the Municipality with the necessary tools (equipment and software) to achieve the optimal use of available water resources, ensuring the quantity and quality of drinking water through the infrastructure of water supply and distribution networks, while achieving significantly lower maintenance and operation costs. Therefore, the project intends to implement an integrated smart system to address all current challenges.The project includes the procurement, installation and operation of equipment and software as well as services to upgrade all existing systems to implement a smart and integrated Water Resources Management System for the Municipality of Paphos. The project includes several steps to improve the water supply system, with the aim of increasing the efficiency and integrated management of water resources. Specifically, it includes updating the digital network map, dividing the internal network into peripheral measuring areas, and implementing a smart water resource management system. The project also includes the supply and installation of the required equipment including 27000 smart meters, as well as software components, with extensive checks and training of the Municipality's staff for the proper functioning of the new system. Delivering full documentation and guaranteeing good operation are also part of the plan.
