The project concerns the supply, installation and operation of infrastructure, systems and applications "AWAKEN CITY" for the needs of the Municipality of Nicosia as defined in the Municipalities Law 52(I) of 2022. The proposed project combines technology with innovation, offering a modern solution for the development and improvement of the city's infrastructure, aiming at increased security, improved resource management and better quality of life for its residents. The procurement of equipment such as street lighting sensors, parking sensors, environmental monitoring sensors, cameras for traffic parameters analysis (LPR WHITE/ BLACK list, etc.), waste bin filling monitoring sensors, public information points (info-points), etc.The provision of ‘Smart City’ services for the above-mentioned equipment.The creation of a Smart City Command & Control Center, for the coordination and supervision of all operations.The procurement, installation and operation of a ‘Smart City’ platform for the management of all data generated by the operation of the sensors to be procured by the Beneficiary in the context of the project.The creation of smartphone applications that will inform citizens about issues related to the city, such as traffic conditions, available parking places, etc.The Technical Support of the Beneficiary and specifically the preparation of the project maturity as well as its monitoring.In the context of the project. actions will also be carried out concerning:Installation of watering automation sensors in the green areas in the Nicosia Municipal District. The development of an integrated geospatial data portal for the Municipality of Nicosia, in the context of the continuous modernisation of the geoinformatics services provided, providing data and information to citizens, professionals and bodies, through different channels.The procurement of an application for recording and monitoring requests, citizens' complaints and citizens' service in the Municipality of Nicosia through the use of smartphones and the internet.The procurement, installation and operation of Smart City systems: LPR cameras and equipment to control visitor access to streets of the Commercial Triangle of the Capital.
