Strengthening the technological environment of Local Authorities, computerizing processes, upgrading systems to flexible and stable technologies that offer more efficient processes and new services / opportunities for new services, contribute to increasing productivity and creating new growth areas. The proposed project provides for the creation of the necessary infrastructure for the unified computerization and the provision of e-government services to the Municipalities of Cyprus. More specifically, it concerns the design and implementation of a single, common, efficient and flexible technological infrastructure that will be exploited by the Municipalities of Cyprus, with the aim of enhancing the automation of processes, the management and utilization of information, but also the provision of channels for the publication and optimization of the provision of services. The establishment, deployment and operation of this infrastructure will ensure the implementation of key principles such as the use of open data and common technology standards, the division of responsibilities between public authorities, enhanced cooperation between public institutions and smooth and controlled access to information and online services. The aim of the project is to promote e-Government in the Municipalities of Cyprus in the best way from a technological and administrative point of view and with the least possible costs so that all citizens/citizens of all Municipalities benefit equally from technological developments regardless of the size of the Municipality and its financial capacity.
