The project Historical Documentation Centre of the Municipality of Paphos concerns the creation of a modern cultural space in the heart of the city, with the aim of highlighting and preserving the history and tradition of Paphos. The Centre will be housed in the historic building of the Old Central Police Station, which will be expanded with small additions to create a reception area and a canteen. At the same time, the surrounding area will be remodeled with extensive landscaping, creating green spaces, pedestrian paths and a footbridge for safe access over the adjacent parking space. The project includes the complete restoration and re-use of the old police station building for use as a historical documentation centre of the city of Paphos, the addition and extension of the former police station building to meet the needs of the new use and the configuration of the site from the old police station to the Armenian park. Specifically, the existing building, which is a two-storey building, is fully restored and expanded, and the walls, roof, floors and frames are maintained and restored. Electrical, mechanical and museological equipment is installed to support the new use of the building. In the surrounding area there is landscaping with greenery, marble and pebble flooring, creation of footbridge, creation of metal roofs, installation of urban equipment, and electrical and mechanical works.
