This project concerns the acquisition of an intravital microscope dedicated to cardiac imaging. It will make it possible to acquire images synchronised with the phases of cardiac contraction by monitoring the electrocardiogram. The other physiological parameters of the animal will also be monitored and maintained through anesthesia and a supportive environment. As the limits of time resolution and signal processing will be pushed back and reached with the imaging of the heart, the instrumental approach developed can be easily transposed to other moving organs accessible in situ.
