The ‘BioPcA Evolution’ project aims to make the platform operational for three objectives: (1) complete characterisations of environmental samples to determine the quantities of organic pollutants, (2) development of bioprocesses applied to the synthesis of bio-based polymers, (3) characterisation of bio-based polymers. The scientific project of the BioPcA platform aims to accelerate the development of eco-responsible (bio)processes for the microbiological transformation of local bioresource deposits into bioplastics. In addition to an important scientific value (work of the EcoTEA research team and collaborations with external partners), the project therefore offers a strong societal interest. As such, a partnership agreement has been established since 1 January 2024 between B4C (Bioeconomy For Change) and the University of Caen Normandie.
