The objective of the project is to develop a new Carbon and Hydrogen bond activation method for the production of iodised radiotracers, without the use of transition metals, based on an already validated proof of concept. At present, there is no such method for the manufacture of radiotracers. The aim is to develop this approach and apply it to the synthesis of radiotracers for pre-clinical studies, in partnership with experts in imaging and radiotherapy, in the fields of oncology and neuroscience.
