Development of an aeronautical propulsion turbine containing incremental components

The project assumes the implementation of R & D works, which will result in the development of product innovation internationally – aeronautical propulsion turbine incorporating incremental incremental components (3D printing). The project involves carrying out R & D works, which will develop a prototype of a propulsion turbine, initially tested under laboratory conditions and then in the environment constituting a model of real working conditions. The applicant will carry out pioneering R & D work on the development of an innovative turbine containing structural components capable of production in 3D printing technology. The direct result of the Project will be the know-how taking a digitised form concerning product innovation – the propulsion turbine and the way it is produced using incremental techniques. The project’s result is a response to the market needs associated with the growing demand for air transport, including shortening production time and providing high-tech solutions at a competitive price. An important benefit for the customers resulting from the use of 3D technology is the possibility of reducing the mass of the turbine and thus the entire flying unit, which is reflected in the lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of the target engine. The project is consistent with the provisions of the National Intelligent Specialisations (KIS 9 and KIS13) and „A plan for responsible development indicating the need to develop innovative companies capable of developing technologically advanced products. The above confirms the validity of the project and its compliance with the direction of development of the Polish economy.
