Innovative, using ATD thermal analysis, the technology of producing self-supply, high-quality cast iron for the production of new generation castings with increased quality parameters.

The aim of the project is to develop a new cooling curve based on the analysis of automated iron smelting technology, the application of which will eliminate the shortcomings of the currently used foundry technologies, with particular emphasis on the elimination of: degraded chunky graphite (decrease to 5 %), as well as overflows and power supplies. As a result of the project, new products will be developed in the form of self-supply cast iron with a more even distribution of strength properties throughout the volume (product innovation in the world). New large castings will allow to carry more loads (thanks to increased strength, plasticity limit and extension A5) with a significant reduction in the cost of mechanical machining (reducing the number of technological surpluses). The ultimate objective of R & D work is to test the new technology (precepts, process conditions) on a demonstration scale (operational conditions) and finally define optimal nucleation indicators of the output cast iron in the induction furnace using analyses: the chemical and thermal cooling curve of the cast iron and the determination of: precise parameters of the melting and dispensing process of additives; optimal parameters of extra-burning machining; optimal coagulation times, as well as determination and selection of modifiers, as well as technological and economic optimisation of the process. Research works will be carried out by Śrem in cooperation with the Department of Foundry of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. Pursuant to Article 25 of Regulation (EC) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain types of aid compatible with the internal market in the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty (OJ L.
