Flexible system for enhancing the competence of technical service staff using virtual reality techniques

The main objective of the project is to build a flexible, innovative virtual reality system for training technical service staff, including interactive virtual training scenarios for selected (15 GPZ) Main Power Points, Medium Voltage Station and a live work centre. The most important feature of the system from the point of view of its implementation in the EO will be the possibility of freely expanding the content contained therein with subsequent scenarios and objects of energy infrastructure, thanks to the use of knowledge engineering techniques and partial automation of content preparation process, e.g. using contact-free digitisation techniques. The project assumes the use of VR techniques in training technical staff on an unprecedented scale in the world – it is proposed to build a system capable of training employees for all power stations (main power stations – GPZ) available to the EO, on the virtual (digital) models of these stations, using methods of realistic interaction with animated three-dimensional electricity infrastructure facilities.
