The project involves conducting industrial and developmental research aimed at the implementation of an interoperable and safe product with increased operational properties, i.e. railway rails characterised by a low level of own stress in the rail foot i.e. 125 MPa, a better vertical wave level with a maximum wave amplitude of 0,2 mm on the rolling surface of the rail (vertical) and 0.4 mm on a horizontal surface and a safe level of solid magnetism. This objective will be achieved as a result of the following actions: using a new controlled rail cooling model, using a new 9-roller vertical rectifier with innovative calibration of footer straightening rollers, testing of rails in a new control-measurement block, and carrying out the process of demagnetisation of rails over the entire length and measurement of residual magnetism with the use of mechanical grippers for transport and loading of rails per wagon. A series of 120 m long rolling, cooling and straightening tests are assumed to be carried out according to new models and technological parameters. From rails produced using innovative cooling, straightening and demagnetisation technologies, samples will be taken for the measurement of own stresses, macro- and microstructures, quantitative and qualitative analysis of non-metallic inputs, distribution of mechanical properties and hardness and residual magnetism, and analysis of test results. Obtaining the assumed values of wavy, own stresses in the rail foot and residual magnetism will be a prerequisite for the implementation of new technological solutions for the production of railway rails in Zakład Walcownia Duża AMP S.A.
