The aim of the project is to develop a world-wide innovative product – a new generation turboprop compressor, which will have a key impact on the operation and efficiency of the entire engine – it will provide a higher engine output power at the target cruising cap, better fuel consumption ratio (up to 15 %), and a longer running time between inspections (5000 h). The new compressor will have a higher air compressor (16:1) and a higher power-to-weight ratio (5.5 SHP/kg). The product developed in the Project will be used in new generation turboprop engines dedicated to aircraft for business and general aviation. The project is a response to one of the main needs of the target market, i.e. the growing demand for modern technologies, which will reduce operating costs and achieve higher efficiency of the turboprop engine, while maintaining operational safety. The concept of the project involves carrying out industrial research and development work aimed at developing a new compressor, developing a prototype of the compressor, and testing it in similar to real conditions. This product innovation will be implemented on the market by granting a licence by the Company to an entity from the GE Group, which will ensure that it uses the results of R & D in the business activity carried out on the territory of the Republic of Poland, i.e. it will start the production of selected components of the new compressor.
