Development of cooling technology for hot section components of rotating machines with particular regard to the blades and steering wheel of the high pressure turbine

The project will develop an innovative cooling, sealing and control technology for radial and axial clearances dedicated to the hot section of the modern high pressure turbine. The result of the project will be the proprietary technology of GE Company Polska sp. z o.o. and at the same time it will be the first technology of its kind developed in Poland. The result of the project will be a product innovation and will be widely used in aircraft engines. The project involves carrying out industrial research and development work, in which a prototype of a high pressure turbine will be developed, with its proprietary cooling technology, followed by tests under laboratory conditions and similar to real conditions. The project’s outcome will benefit the target customers by reducing the cost of operating the fleet by increasing engine efficiency and improving the fuel consumption ratio (SFC) by 15 %. In addition, the time between service and maintenance will be extended, which will reduce the cost of servicing, thereby improving the overall economy of the maintenance of the air fleet. The implementation of the Project will positively affect the development of the Company and strengthen its position on the market and will benefit the Polish aviation industry. The project is consistent with the “Plane for Sustainable Development” developed by the Ministry of Development, where the aviation industry has been identified as strategic to gain Poland’s leading position on the global market. The scope of the Project directly corresponds to the provisions of the National Intelligent Specialisations, in particular KIS9, which confirms the validity of the project and its compatibility with the direction of development of the Polish economy. Pursuant to Article 25 of Regulation (EC) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain types of aid compatible with the internal market in the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty (OJ L. I'm sorry. EU L 187/1 of 26.06.2014).
