The aim of the project is R & D, which aims to develop innovative elements of the interior of the vehicle, which increase safety and comfort of people travelling by vehicle, focusing on assessing the current state of the person and things inside the vehicle. As a result, a system will be developed for image recognition, allowing monitoring of the interior of the car, identification of persons and control of non-contact on-board devices in the car, which will be directed to world vehicle manufacturers. The project corresponds to trends in the development of the automotive industry, in particular the development of autonomous vehicles. It addresses a niche resulting from the definition of five levels of vehicle autonomy, and in particular the third level, which assumes that the driver is to be ready to take control of the vehicle at any time. This implies the need for vehicle systems to monitor the driver’s state of activity in order to determine its current ability to take over control of the vehicle and the decision to signal the obligation to control the road. Research and development will concern the implementation of, inter alia, the following elements: A high-performance computing platform for machine learning systems, with particular emphasis on supporting artificial intelligence algorithms, based on a multi-core processor and intended for use in automotive conditions, and allowing for quick processing of data collected from two or more 2D and 3D cameras? 2D camera that allows you to observe the interior of the vehicle with the definition of the optimal installation point and the lighting system that allows you to work under all conditions of the time-fixing system, with a 3-hour security system, at low cost.
