Reference number of the aid programme: SA.42799(2015/X) intended for public aid: Article 28 of Commission Regulation No 651/2014; The subject of the project is to provide international patent protection for three separate inventions in the field of biotechnology, which will be developed as part of the research activity of Selvita S.A. three patent applications will be made, based on the Patent Cooperation Agreement (PCT). This treaty offers a simplified patent procedure that enables inventors to submit a single international patent application covering multiple countries. The patent application according to the PCT system is divided into two phases: international phase, which will be conducted through the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland and national phases conducted separately in all countries where the patent is planned to be obtained. The validation of patent applications is planned in the following countries: signatories to the European Patent Convention, Australia, Brazil, China, Israel, Japan, Canada, South Korea, United States. In the first phase, three patent applications will be prepared and submitted in English, which will then be examined by the International Search Authority for novelty, inventive level and the possibility of industrial application of objects. In the next step, the Applicant shall submit for each application a separate application for a report from the international preliminary examination, which will result in the “Preliminary International Report on Patent Capability”. On this basis, the final selection of the countries where patent applications will be validated will be made.
