Expansion of fuel combustion plant in Łomża City heat plant with a high-efficiency cogeneration system based on biomass boiler.

The aim of the planned investment is to produce useful heat for the heating needs of the city of Łomża using biomass fuel and additionally to produce electricity sold to the National Power System. With the annual heat production, there will be a significant reduction in the consumption of coal fuel, and instead of using wood biomass in a steam boiler. Wood biomass from the local market will be burned, delivered to the heating plant by car transport. The whole will be equipped with the necessary infrastructure and the required control and measurement equipment related to biomass, exhaust emissions, regulation of the operating parameters of the source. The planned cogeneration system will interact with an existing and operating year-round combustion plant based on coal, located in the Municipal Heat Plant in Łomża on ul. A warm 16. The investment will be technologically and structurally linked to the existing combustion plant.
