Development of rainwaters in water catchments and canals located in the city of Sopot, flowing into the Gulf of Gdańsk

The main objective of the project is to carry out actions to reduce vulnerability and climate change by preventing negative impacts and by increasing resilience to climate change. This will be achieved by increasing the amount of water retention in the City of Sopot, which will improve in case of natural hazards and major accidents. The project plans to: 1) construction of rainwater and melt water retention and discharge facilities in water basins and rainwater channels, reconstruction, regulation and restoration of surface water, 2) construction and reconstruction of the rain drainage network together with associated infrastructure, which will contribute to draining, stopping, retention, use of rainwater and cleaning (surface and underground retention tanks, drainage boxes, dilution facilities).
