The object of the project is the construction of an installation consisting of a block incinerating the energy fraction of municipal waste (ITPO) composed of, among others, a boiler, a turboset with installations and associated facilities, and a gas-oil peak boiler room with auxiliary facilities and connections. The basic module of the planned project will be Block – installation of thermal waste treatment. The technical solution adopted for the installation is based on the technology of a grid boiler burning approx. 100 thousand tons of combustible municipal waste per year with an average calorific value of approx. 13,5 MJ/kg. The boiler’s operating field is between 11 and 16 MJ/kg, so it is a solution dedicated to previously treated municipal waste. Due to the considerable scope and value of the project, as well as the possibility of a beneficial division of tasks and risks, the implementation of the project is planned as an investment in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), where the public partner will be MPEC, while the private partner will be an experienced and competent private company chosen in the context of the tender procedure conducted under the Public Procurement Law.
