The direct objective of the project is to inventory and assess the state of natural resources in the Tatra National Park using remote sensing technologies, consisting of the following specific objectives: 1. Inventory of vegetation by developing a map of real vegetation and a Natura 2000 habitat map and a characteristic of vegetation diversity using remote sensing parameters. 2. Identification of the process of primary and secondary succession – occupation by tree vegetation and bushes of non-forest ecosystems (hales, glades). 3. Identification of the process of invasion of alien vascular plant species. 4. Identification of the dynamics of vegetation floors taking into account the upper boundary of forest and kosotrevine – determination of the current limits of plant floors, vertical changes in the range of forests and kosotrevines over the years. 5. Inventory and characteristics of forests and woodlands – identification of species, gradation outbreaks, analysis of the condition of trees and planting success. 6. Geological and geomorphological characteristics and anthropogenic transformations of the terrain – a characteristic of the dynamics of the surface sculpture caused by natural and anthropogenic phenomena. 7. Hydrographic inventory – identification of surface water. 8. Inventory of land use, buildings and roads. 9. Update data on natural resources of the park by powering the GIS TPN system with new analysis results and source data (ortophotomaps, 3d models).
