The main objective of the project is to prepare a draft plan for the protection of the Biebrza National Park, a planning document required by the Nature Conservation Act for each national park. The specific objectives shall be: pooling of knowledge and well-diagnosed state of natural resources, landscape assets and cultural values, identified existing and potential risks, developed concepts for the conservation of natural resources, elimination or mitigation of risks, identified conservation measures necessary to preserve or improve the park’s assets prepared a draft conservation plan, and ensured public participation in the draft conservation plan. The project plans to carry out an inventory of resources, natural resources of BbPN: elements of inanimate nature, soils, forest, non-forest and aquatic ecosystems, water resources, plants, animals and fungi, landscape and cultural values. The social and economic conditions of BbPN conservation will be characterised. The scope of the actions envisaged takes into account the resources already collected by BbPN, their up-to-dateness and completeness. As part of the project, public consultation, information and promotion activities will be carried out, the equipment necessary to collect data generated during the project, project management will be purchased.
