The aim of the project is to create tools enabling effective protection of the marine Natura 2000 site “Ławica Słupska” PLC 990001 through the development of natural documentation and the creation of a draft conservation plan which is the first such plan for the Natura 2000 site, located entirely in marine areas, in the Polish Exclusive Economic Zone. The area covered by this project is located in Polish maritime areas constituting the territorial sea and is used by almost every form of human activity at sea (sea transport, fisheries, concession areas, areas for the construction of wind farms). The implementation of the draft conservation plan will ensure that the natural habitats, habitats and populations of plant and animal species listed in Annexes I and II to the Habitats Directive and the bird species listed in Annex I to the Birds Directive and migratory species not listed in the abovementioned Annex are the main subject of protection in that area. The development of a draft protection plan will be part of the practical verification of the methodology developed, which will be complemented by the implementation experience in the final guidelines. The draft conservation plan for the Natura 2000 site “Ławica Słupska” will be drawn up in accordance with applicable national nature conservation legislation
