Rataje Park in Poznań

The subject of the project is the creation of the Park on area 13,79 with equipment. As a result of the project, more than 76 % of additional biologically active surface will be created, i.e. 10.47 ha. After the creation of the Park, the park will be a public facility, and admission to it will be free of charge. The project’s material scope includes: arrangement of existing and new greenery by introducing plantings of trees, groups of shrubs, vines, perennials and grasses (total number of new plantings 103 534 pieces), small restoration works and the construction of infrastructure elements for making greenery available (cofinancing of additional elements listed does not exceed 30 % of the total project funding under eligible costs). In addition, the applicant will finance other accompanying infrastructure with its own resources, which will make the area of the new Park more attractive. The project plans to implement a tree stand management consisting of removing trees and shrubs (296 pieces) dry or threatening safety, in conjunction with the care and sanitary cuts of the existing old tree, including plants belonging to invasive alien species (planting ramp). The project also includes plantings of ornamental trees and shrubs, perennial and onion plants, the establishment of lawns, flower meadows and surfaces of covering plants. These plantings make up for cut dead or damaged trees and shrubs. New plantings will be used by native species including trees and shrubs that emit the most oxygen (min. Meyer’s lilac ‘Palbin’, mountain pine ‘Mops’, mountain pine ‘Gnom’, common grab ‘Fastigiata’ ash, maple jawor ‘Brilliantissimum’, maple ‘Golden Globe’, maple ‘Elsrijk’). The implementation of the project will contribute to stopping or reducing the surface flow of water.
