The project includes the rehabilitation for environmental purposes of the degraded area of the former clay mine located in the city of Sulejówek with a total area of 19.3976 ha, of which 15.4 ha will constitute recultivated land. After the investment, 77.9 % of the land will be covered with greenery, which is 12 ha. The project will contribute to the protection of biodiversity by increasing green spaces and creating new habitats for fauna. Increasing the planting area will also allow for free migration of birds. The area of the park is currently undeveloped. The whole area is submerged by rainwaters and meltwaters. The creation of new green areas will improve water relations, reduce urban noise and improve air quality. The aim of the planned investment is to create a park area as a well-functioning area for leisure, sport and recreation for residents of Sulejówka and external users, e.g. from Warsaw.
