Improving the quality of life of residents through the development of urban green areas in Starachowice

The main objective of the project will be to halt the decline of green areas in Starachowice, to prevent landslides and erosion, to weaken the phenomenon of the so-called urban heat island by appropriate greening of degraded areas and destroyed by human activity. The main objective will be achieved by introducing environmentally beneficial solutions, ensuring resilience to climate variability and local climatic conditions, reducing invasive plants, creating habitats for insects, birds and small mammals, making multi-storey, multi-species assumptions of native vegetation prevention of landslides, shortages during drought, local submelting. The aim of the project is also to increase the green areas for recreation and rest for residents. Implementation of the project will increase the attractiveness of the city, the quality of life of residents and at the same time increase adaptability for insect birds and small mammals.The subject of the project is the development of 5 areas of degraded greenery with an area of 7.81 ha (min. 6.25 ha of additive.
