Urban Green – the natural wealth of the city Siemianowice Śląskie

The project involves increasing the area of green areas created by the rehabilitation of degraded areas and revitalisation of existing parks. It is located in 5 areas of the city located in 3 districts. The beneficiary of the project and at the same time the entity managing its results is the Municipality of Siemianowice Śląskie. The area covered by the project is owned by the applicant or the State Treasury (perpetual use). One of the properties is in the permanent management of the MOSiR, which agreed to have the Municipality available for construction purposes and during the lifetime of the project. After the implementation of the project, all the infrastructure created under the project will be made available free of charge. The eligible costs of the investment amount to PLN 4 476 890,66. This is a gross cost that takes into account VAT of 23 %. Net investment costs are 3 639 748.50 and VAT 837 142,16. The project foresees the costs of: Preparatory (Category: preparation of the project) – investment costs (Category: Construction works – as dominant within the scope of the contract) • Construction works related to the revitalisation of green areas (ground order, sanitary cuts, plantings, installation of nesting booths): • Construction works related to the recreational part (paths, pavements, small architecture, etc..): (approx. 25 % of costs) – other costs • Industry supervision: (Category: Project management) • Promotion costs: (Category: Information and promotion activities). The entire green area covered by the project occupies 464215 m². Of which 87950 m² are green areas in the Ludowy Park and in the area on the street. The building – in both these areas the existing greenery has degraded status – is completely disordered, is dominated by invasive species and does not perform any functions for the inhabitants of the City. On this basis, it can therefore be concluded that the level of degradation of the green in the area of the project is approx. 19 %
