The aim of the project is to halt the decline of the area of green areas in Gorzów Wlkp., Kostrzyn n/O and Dębnie and at the same time improve air quality in these villages. It will be achieved by increasing the area of green space in these cities by 10.82 ha.The implementation of the project in three cities will contribute to the creation of urban regeneration and air exchange systems in these cities, halting the fragmentation of urban spaces through the development of green areas. The implementation of the project will undoubtedly improve the quality of life of residents, as the areas of greenery play important health and recreational functions for residents. The basic ecological functions of the project areas will be restored. Among other things, climatic, biological, ecological, hydrological functions, absorption of pollutants. Project elements in individual cities will contribute to sustainable, intelligent urban development. Revitalised and refurbished parks, squares, yard greening will serve to achieve the environmental objectives. The project aims to reduce the phenomenon of the so-called urban heat island, improve the possibility of ventilating the city and replenishing underground water resources through infiltration, and will have a positive impact on the preservation of biodiversity.
