Development of the banks of the Sanok River

The aim of the project is to halt the decline in the area of green trains and increase the attractiveness of the area adjacent to the San River as a place for active leisure time by increasing its biodiversity. Once the project is completed, the site will be made available free of charge. In Sanok there are no places for active outdoor recreation. The project is located in the districts: Olchowiec, Błonie, chieftain. The last two houses built by multi-family houses with a small share of green areas compared to their population. Districts with multi-family housing estates are characterised by increased social problems, mainly exclusion caused by poverty – Local Programme for the Revitalisation of the City of Sanoka for the years 2009-2015 pp. 44-7. Currently, the status of the areas covered by the proposal is described as bad due to long-term negligence, the growth of invasive species of vegetation. The investment is located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in the Sanok County, the municipality of Sanoka, the town of Sanok. The project area will cover riverside areas located in a strip from the bridge in the Olchowiec district to the mouth of the Kiczura stream. The area covered by the application is 17.2 ha, newly created (on green wastelands) 6.5 ha, biologically active areas 15.1 ha (87.79 %) after completion of the project. Small architecture elements will cover 12,21 % (28,18 % of eligible costs). The project area is located in areas classified as Class C due to excess of PM10, PM2.5 and target benzo(?)pyrene in suspended dust PM10. It is covered by the Air Protection Programme (POP) for this zone together with the Short-term Action Plan (PDK) (Resolution No XXXIII/608/13 of the Podkarpackie Regional Assembly of 29 April 2013). The project aims to improve air quality in the city.
