The project’s tasks have been selected from a number of planned Investment Plans to form a coherent whole in terms of materiality and impact on air traffic safety, as well as to meet the requirements of applying for EU funding. Some of the planned investments are intended to improve the en route part of the flight, while some are intended to serve navigation services at individual airports. The beneficiaries of these improvements will be a variety of stakeholder groups. An accurate analysis of investments has shown that investments aimed at generating the benefits of en-route also bring benefits in terms of monitoring of the approximation. For example, new radars can be used here, which will be used both in route navigation and in proximity control. In order to achieve the objectives, it is planned to carry out an in-kind investment involving the purchase and assembly of the following elements: > construction of radio communication centres (OR): 18 facilities, > delivery and commissioning of transmitting and receiving sets operating below FL195 (8,33 kHz): 10 sets, > purchase and installation of radio distance meters co-located with radio communication centres (OR/DME): 2 pcs, > purchase and installation of a radio distance meter with a colloquial radiator (DVOR/DME): 1 units, > purchase and installation of precision instrument landing systems (ILS/DME): 2 pcs, > purchase and installation of a radiolocation system: 1 pcs, > purchase and installation of radars (secondary): 4 units, > construction of the Katowice flight control tower in Katowice Airport – Pyrzowice. > Purchase of mobile radar – 1 pcs.
