The project includes the modernisation of the section of railway line No. 226 Pruszcz Gdański – Gdańsk Northern Port, with a length of 11 km, which consists of the construction of new and reconstruction of existing construction facilities and networks and equipment. The implementation of the project was divided into: • Phase I – works/services planned to be performed under the OPI 2007-2013 • Phase II – works/services planned to be performed under the OPI 2014-2020. Line 226 is a first-class line, two-track (traffic mainly takes place on one track – both on track 201 and 202 depending on the state of the track in a given section) electrified for freight to the port of Gdańsk and Rafineria Lotos S.A. On line 226 passenger trains do not take place and are not expected in the future. The eastern part of the port (right-bank) located on the island of Stogi is served by Gdańsk North Port station and line No. 226 Pruszcz Gdański – Gdańsk Motława Most-Gdañsk Olszynka – Gdańsk North Port, Gdańsk Canal Kaszubski and line No. 965 Wisła Most – Gdańsk Kaszubski Canal, as well as line No. 721 Gdańsk Południowy – Motława Most. From line No. 226 to Gdańsk Olszynka branch the access track to the plant station of the Lotos Group refinery. Behind the bridge in track No. 201 in km 12.860 there is a branch of railway line No.965 Wisła Most – Gdańsk Kaszubski Canal, and in front of the bridge in km 12.443 branch from track no. 202 by switch No. 1 of railway line No. 846 Wisła Most – Gdańsk Grobla. The length of line 846 is 1.442 km and line 965 is 3.499 km. Additionally, in addition to the reconstruction of the line
