The scope of the Project includes the purchase of rolling stock – 16 new five-member electric traction units. The eligible expenditure of the project will also include expenditure on training for staff in the field of maintenance and operation of purchased vehicles. The purchased rolling stock will handle connections between Warsaw and Tłuz in the area of the Warsaw Functional Area (apart from the short section from the WOF to Tłuz border) also in shorter relations: Warsaw – Wołomin Słoneczna, Warsaw – Zielonka. Fat is the first railway station outside WOF where it is possible to reverse the direction of the train and provide the Traveller with a safe and adequate standard of communication with other means of transport, both by rail and by road. All vehicles purchased will fully comply with the Technical Specifications of Interoperability (TSI) – vehicles will also be equipped with ETCS (European Rail Traffic Control System). The newly purchased rolling stock is intended to replace the current EN57 rolling stock, which due to technical constraints is not able to use the technical parameters of the line.
