The project includes the construction of rail infrastructure in ul. Kujawska on the section from the Kujawski roundabout to the Bernardyński roundabout along with the reconstruction of the road layout, reconstruction of the rail transport infrastructure within the street. The Polish Army from the Magnuszewska loop to the transport hub of the Polish Army – Szpitalna – Szaryregów – Bełzy and the connection of the above mentioned sections to the Transport System of the City of Bydgoszcz (ITS), the reconstruction and construction of parking lots and the purchase of modern tram rolling stock. Includes: • construction of rail infrastructure on the section from the Kujawski roundabout to the Bernardyński roundabout with the construction of traction, lighting (including connection of tram traction function with lighting), 8 tram stops, connection to the ITS and reconstruction of the existing two-way road with a separate busband, as well as reconstruction and construction of pavements and pedestrian crossings; • reconstruction of rail transport infrastructure on the section from Magnuszewska loop to the transport hub of the Polish Army – Hospital – Grey ranks – Bełzy; • construction and reconstruction of bus bays; • reconstruction of the infrastructure (including underground) conflicting with the material scope of the project • construction of the Park &Ride car park at the Kujawski roundabout; • redevelopment of parking lots on ul. Ustronie and St. Long and parking places The aim of the project is to improve the public transport system, leading to an increase in the participation of people using public transport. The entire infrastructure task consists of the execution of works – track, road, water supply, energy (lighting and light signalling), drainage, gas, plant robe, together with the city monitoring system, while the task of rolling stock consists of delivering 15 low-floor, modern trams. The tasks will contribute to reducing congestion in the city, improving traffic flow and reducing the negative environmental impact of transport.
