The project included the construction of a two-track line of 400 kV between Chełm and Lublin Systemowa, modernisation and expansion of the 400/110 kV Lublin Systemowa station and the extension of the 220/110 kV Chełm station. The above is dictated by the need to connect two nodes of the transmission network: Lubelski and Zamość and the need to increase the reliability of the network system in the field of transmission and supply of electricity in the south-eastern part of the country The above is intended to contribute to the elimination of radial power supply of power stations Chełm and Lublin Systemowa, increase their mobility and connectivity and power output, in the case of construction of new generation sources in Lublin region. Thus, as a result of the project, an electricity transmission network with a length of approx. 67 km of current tracks, as well as the expansion of two power stations.
