Reconstruction of the Andreas Gryphius Theatre in Głogów

The main objective of the project is to improve the technical state of the city’s cultural heritage facilities and use them for cultural and tourism purposes through reconstruction, reconstruction and expansion of the Municipal Theatre in Głogów. Despite its location in the heart of Głogów’s Market Square, the City Theatre is in extremely bad condition. The destruction of the facility occurred during the war. As a result of external factors, degradation continues to this day. The property is completely inaccessible to visitors. In addition, it disrupts the aesthetics of the historic Old Town. The large potential of the cultural heritage, which is the object of the Municipal Theatre, is currently untapped. In Głogów there is no institution with a rich theatrical offer. The City Centre of Culture does not have a hall that allows for professional theatre performances. The initiative for the reconstruction, reconstruction and expansion of the Municipal Theatre in Głogów was mainly based on the belief that, with a view to protecting the cultural heritage and appreciating the localisation and architectural values of the building, appropriate measures should be taken to preserve the historic substance of the building and make it available to visitors.
