Air Rescue is the only unit in the country providing services in the field of Medical Rescue Service and one of the key units of the State Medical Rescue System. The project is strategic, nationwide. Its implementation will strengthen the operation of the State Medical Rescue System. The essence of the project is to increase accessibility to life-saving and health-saving procedures. The result of the project will be the possibility of faster recreation of readiness for the next event. This project has been divided into three stages: Phase 1 will be implemented between 2018 and 2019 ETAP 2 will be implemented in the years 2019-2020. Stage 3, i.e. the construction of bases or its elements in Warsaw, Szczecin/Goleniów and Białystok, will be implemented in the years 2019-2022 The main objective of the project is: increase the availability of helicopter emergency services. The project consists of the expansion and reconstruction of the Air Rescue Service Base (HEMS) and the Technical Service Station (SOT) of the Air Rescue Service with the construction of the final zone of approach and take-off of the FATO helicopter in Warsaw.
