As part of the project, a dedicated data transmission network will be created for the provision of Internet access services to schools, operating on the basis of the lease services of telecommunications lines compiled as services of operators of existing telecommunications networks. The project assumes the use of existing elements of infrastructure and services, as well as infrastructure, which will be built as a result of projects co-financed from Axis I of the Operational Programme Digital Poland 2014-2020 (POPC), which will affect the efficiency of the use of these investments. The built network implemented in IP/MPLS technology will be based on 16 skeletal nodes connected to each other via leased lines with 10G/40G/100Gb/s capacity. Each frame nodes will be located in or around the voivodeship city, on the basis of a publicly accessible co-location area and will have the infrastructure necessary to aggregate school traffic mainly from a given voivodship. Internet access services provided will be supported by OSS and BSS systems. These systems will ensure optimal and efficient management in both network and service layers. Large automation of servicing tasks is assumed, in order to optimise costs and improve process handling. Applications and systems supporting the operation of the project will be in the server layer based on dedicated and virtualised solutions, allowing flexible allocation of necessary resources and high reliability of operation.
