Integrated Services for Science – Stage II (zSun II)

The Sun II project aims to create an integrated information platform that will collect, process and share data and information on higher education and science in Poland. The aim of the project is to:- To increase the availability of data from the area of science and higher education;- Improving the quality of data in the fields of science and higher education;- Increasing the possibility of re-using data from science and higher education. The project will integrate many, currently distributed source systems, in which data from science and higher education are collected. This will be done by means of a data exchange model that will allow access to the source data and the data warehouse that produces the information from the data. A web portal will be created, through which citizens will be able to search resources and have access to their data. In addition, machine services will be made available to access data, which will enable IT systems to read and process them. The project is aimed at: Citizens (e.g. academics, bad.-tech, academic teachers, students and doctoral students, candidates for higher education); Public administration (e.g. Ministry of Science, NCN, NCBR, ZUS, CSO); Traders; The press; Entities in higher education and science (e.g. universities, research units); Support bodies (e.g. KEJN, CKdSSiT, KRASP, PKA). As a result of the project, a system will be created, providing data from the area of science and higher education through services:1.Knowledge base 2.Machine sharing of higher education and science resources 3.Access to citizens’ data 4.Remote reporting and automatic powering of registers of higher education and science. The project is part of Action 2.3.1 of POPC as it improves the availability and quality of data, contributes to the re-use of existing data in innovative applications and services and highlights the civic nature of inforama
