Multidisciplinary Open Knowledge Transfer System – MOST Knowledge

The MOST Knowledge Project consists of developing and implementing a platform integrating and providing science resources from many PG accounting bases, and in the future also other R & D units. 4 universities expressed support for the creation of a platform promoting the idea of Open Access: The Maritime Academy in Gdynia, Rzeszów University of Technology and Białostocka and the Maritime Academy in Szczecin, which declared their willingness to make their resources available on the platform. PSI will be made available free of charge to all interested parties in an open and transparent form, linking the research community with their economic and social environment.The main objectives of the project are to increase the digital accessibility, quality and usability of scientific, knowledge and technology resources of the Gdańsk University of Technology and cooperating entities and to increase their re-use. entrepreneurs, the scientific community and other users. The university is fully prepared to implement the project. It has sufficient personal, administrative and hardware resources. A partial inventory of the collections (over 20 thousand documents) was carried out, internal regulations were developed, allowing data to be made available on an open access basis, and infrastructure needs were identified. The development of the platform will include 5 tasks: —project initiative and preparation of resources-starting prototype-launching platform-implementation of MOST services-closure of the project.In addition, a promotional campaign is planned to promote the bridge and the idea of open knowledge. The solution will include WCAG standards and the necessary safety standards. As a result of the project, resources of Gdańsk University of Technology will be made available, 2 APIs and 10 databases will be created. The size of the information provided on-line is estimated to be approx. IT’S 1 TB. And given the demand analysis, the number of downloads of documents will be approx. 30 grand a year.
