The results of R & D carried out by the Applicant concern the ecological technology for producing regranulate APCG PE (Antimicrobial Polymer Composition Granules of Polyethylene) using recycled plastics. The results of R & D works, to be implemented within the project, were carried out on behalf of the Applicant by the Institute of Materials and Coloring Engineering in Toruń. The works included the development of a polymer composition (recycling artificial) with a biocide, and then processing this composition into a full-value granules with bactericidal properties. As a result of research, an innovative product has been developed: EP APCG regranulate and process innovation: the way it’s produced. Implementation of the results of R & D works will allow the launch of a new product on the market: EP APCG regranulate. It is a regranulat with bactericidal properties for the production of various types of foil materials including packaging and bags. Obtaining bactericidal properties allows the addition of biocide – an active antibacterial preparation based on compounds of plant origin (coumarin, timol). As a result of the implementation of the project, Akpol will implement the results of R & D works by purchasing new fixed assets and launching the production of PE APCG regranulate. The innovative production technology of APCG PE regranulate fits into the policy of sustainable development through the use of recycled materials (waste). The implementation of the project will enable the Applicant to meet the needs and expectations of the market, thereby strengthening its market position and making the offer competitive and comprehensive. The company will be prepared to carry out the most complex orders for both domestic and foreign customers. The implementation of innovative technology and innovative product will ensure the company’s dynamic growth and expansion of customer groups and ensure stability and diversification of the company’s revenues.
